Who We Are - The Parish of Southend is the Urban Anglican Parish for Central Southend and comprising of four district Churches

What we believe - We affirm the Primacy of the Sacraments, the Creeds, and the Scriptures, and the Ordination of Women to the Priesthood and the Episcopate alongside that of Men.

Our Aim - We aim to be the spiritual Heart and Soul of the Town of Southend, visibly showing God’s Love and Acceptance of all. We celebrate the diversity and richness within our Parish and seek to recognise all people as Children of God. We rejoice in the variety of our parishioners signified by such differences as age, class, gender, sexuality, race, creed and mental and physical health.

We seek to proclaim the Kingdom of God, prophetically. This we see particularly in terms of Christ’s statement that he came to bring ‘Life in all its fullness’ John 10.10.

We wish to address the needs of individuals as far as we are able, recognising the many good deeds of people within our Parish.

We acknowledge before the wider Church and Community, our need of, and reliance on, God.
